Our research focuses mainly on precisely controlled synthesis of semiconductor nanocrystals and studies on their characterization, optical, electrical and electronic properties, and the collective effect of nanocrystals assemblies. Current research interests of our group also lie in the development of nanocrystal-based potential applications in in vitro diagnosis, solid-state lighting, and display.

We have more than 100 publications including Nature Photonics, JACS, Nano Lett., Adv. Funct. Mater., Chem. Mater., Laser & Photonics Rev., Nanoscale, ACS Appl. Mater. Interfaces et al. Seven national projects: National Natural Science Foundation and Hi-Tech Research and Development Program of China (863 plan), etc. Two ministry projects: Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University of Chinese Ministry of Education and the Scientific Research Foundation for the Returned Overseas Chinese Scholars, State Education Ministry. Five provincial projects: Program for Science & Technology Innovation Talents in University of Henan Province and The Yellow River Scholar of Henan University, etc.
