Brief Introduction

Prof. Zuliang Du group

The research group is mainly engaged in the design, preparation and assembly of nanostructured materials, along with their properties and optoelectronic performances. Nanostructure as a new level of cognition, is the premise and foundation for the development of high-performance structural materials and nano-optoelectronic devices. The rich physical phenomena of nanostructures make this research a frontier and hotspot in nanotechnology, condensed matter physics and its related interdisciplinary fields.

This research group is one of the earliest research units that conducted research in this area in China. In 1988, we presided over the Inaugural Conference of Chinese Ordered Molecular Membrane Professional Committee and its first corresponding national symposium, in Henan University.Over a decade, this group has systematically studied the characteristics and processes of single-molecule agglomeration of various materials, the construction of ordered functional nanostructures and their photoelectric properties, and the growth and biomineralization of special nanostructured materials induced by ordered molecular films. The nanostructure construction and their relevant physical properties based on Scanning probe microscopy (SPM), new luminescent display technology known as quantum dot light-emitting diodes (QLED), nanostructured synergistic CIGS thin film photovoltaic devices, and other series aspects, also have been conducted. Among them, the special research on QLED is approaching or some indexes meeting the industrialization conditions, which is expected to be a new industry in the use of smart phones, large-size ultra-clear displays and high-end lighting.

The research group has successively undertaken more than 30 national-level projects, including State Key Basic Research "973" Plan of China, National High-tech R&D Program of China (863 program), Major Nano Research Plan of National Natural Science Foundation, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Program for New Century Excellent Talents of Ministry of Education, and the Cultivation Fund of the Key Scientific and Technical Innovation Project of Ministry of Education, etc. Over 10provincial-level projects, such as Innovating Talent Fund, and Outstanding Youth Cultivation Talent Fund of Henan Province, have been encompassed.This group has scored many important achievements of 300 SCI publications, 2 awards of second prizes for scientific and technological progress in Henan province, 4 appraisal results and 18 patents.
