By the leadership of Professor Dr. Weili Zhao, this team was established in 2009. Under the strong support of the National Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Natural Science Foundation of China, our projects are focused on the following topics: design and synthesis of quantum dot surface ligands, the structure and function of dye molecules and the application of fluorescence probes in biological analysis, medical diagnosis, and environmental monitoring.

Two projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China (General Program) and two projects of National Youth Fund are successively undertaken. In the past five years, more than 30 SCI papers have been published in SCI academic journals, such as, Nanoscale, Biosens. Bioelectron., Chem. Commun., Org. Lett., Anal. Chem. and so on. Tens of them have higherimpactfactors.

After several years, we have two young teachers and eighteen master graduates, including one outstanding graduate in Henan Province, one excellent student in Henan Province, and two outstanding graduates in Henan University. Now we have a series of equipment for organic synthesis, application of dye, spectral testing and data analysis, such as UV-Vis absorption spectrometer and fluorescence spectrometer.
